This urgent petition requests that you please co-sponsor and vote to pass H.R. 973, a bill to amend title 28, United States Code, to prevent the misuse of foreign law in Federal courts, and for other purposes.

Muslim Sharia law has no place in American courts, and should never trump the U.S. Constitution or American laws passed by duly elected representatives, nor should activist judges improperly enforce foreign laws.

H.R. 973 will protect the Constitution drafted by our founding fathers, by removing jurisdiction from any activist judge or court that seeks to violate American law or the Constitution, especially if those judges or courts wrongly believe foreign law has more weight than American law. The substance of this good bill reads as follows:

H.R. 973: "Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

Sec. 4201. Limitation on use of foreign law in Federal courts

In any court created by or under article III of the Constitution of the United States, no justice, judge, or other judicial official shall decide any issue in a case before that court in whole or in part on the authority of foreign law, except to the extent the Constitution or an Act of Congress requires the consideration of that foreign law."
